My Story

A long way coming

My name is Ramon, and I live in the Netherlands.

I wasn't born into a musical family, and as a child I didn’t even have much interest in music at all.

But a difficult youth forced me to grow up early. I struggled with depression, heavy anxiety, and a deep sense of loneliness. Many times I felt like I simply couldn’t adapt to the world around me. I lived my days without much direction, and I often felt like people didn’t really understand me.

Because I couldn’t express my emotions in any real way, I kept everything inside.

Yet somehow, I felt something when I listened to songs on the radio. So I began exploring all kinds of music, searching for something I could connect with.

And nothing spoke to me more than the Blues.

The phrasing of the notes, the power, the honesty, even the silence between the notes felt like home to me. It was as if my feelings and the music were finally in harmony.

Before long, I knew I had to try it myself.

So I picked up the guitar.

I made just about every mistake you can imagine. Because I struggled to connect with people around me, I believed I had to figure everything out on my own. Learning became a frustrating and painful journey. At times I pushed myself so bad that I even injured myself, and for years I couldn’t play without physical pain.

Still, I kept going.

For years I carried a lot of sadness and frustration, but somewhere inside I believed— or at least hoped — that one day things would change.

As I grew older, I slowly began to open up and allow myself to get help. I started growing not only as a person, but also as a musician.

Now I finally feel like I can speak to the world in my own way. So besides the guitar playing, i'm making songs now.

That’s why I created this page.

It’s a place where I can share my voice into the world. I’m still on the journey of creating better and more meaningful music.

I love music, I love emotion, and I love stories. To me, those three things are deeply connected.

And through my music, I want to bring them together.

I hope you’ll follow me along on this journey.
